90 minute Color Study

The model did not show for Sergio's class so instead I did this color study of one of his paintings that he brought in. I wanted to keep working but he was leaving since so had everyone else at that point. I tried using his method which puts drawing at the bottom and color at the top in terms of importance.

He does not have the original up on his website but THIS is sort of what they look like on his website.

I don't agree. Sergio is to a point where he doesn't need to worry about the drawing so he can concentrate on color, that doesn't mean its at the bottom of his priorities, he spent years perfecting his drawing skills. As you found out for yourself, it's not as easy as it looks.

Its not my opinion of the guy he actually says in lecture that he is not concerned with the drawing. Although he is probably just saying that he doesn't want us to worry about the drawing while in his class. Which is fine too.
